We know how much you all love your pets, so today we’re featuring a Rogers Park business that will help get you started on the right paw! Our neighbors Urbanimal (1257 West Devon Ave.) aim to be the one-stop-shop for the needs of Rogers Park’s dog and cat owners.
Urbanimal is Rogers Park’s “All Natural Pet Food Store,” and they focus on educating pet owners on the importance of a well-balanced diet, and offer premium goods for your furry friends.
“We take a holistic approach to crafting our pets’ diets,” says manager Lorilee Garcia. “It’s imperative that owners know the importance of nourishment and it’s relationship with the overall well-being of their animal.”
Their premium, natural and domestically produced goods are just the beginning of their services. They also offer diet education, dog walking, dog playdates and cat sitting to help round out your pet. They’re also days away from launching their new online store, which you can see on their website.
“Raising a pet in the city can be a challenging, yet rewarding experience,” says Lorilee. “We’re here to provide the services and answer the questions that larger, impersonal pet stores can’t.”
In the future, Urbanimal plans to offer self-grooming and pet training services. Until they can offer those, they’re happy to refer customers to similar businesses in the area, such as the Bark Bark Club, in Edgewater,
